More information
“Tea induces lightness of spirit, clarity of mind and freedom from all sense of constriction, whether mental or physical.”
Emperor Huizong of Song, 1082 – 1135
Inspired by Ancient Chinese beliefs, de Mamiel teas are therapeutically blended to nourish the body from within, helping to achieve inner harmony and a more balanced flow of energy.
Ancient Chinese believed that we should live in harmony with the natural cycles of our environment. In Summer, the young energy that arose in Spring expands to its maximum potential. Summer holds the power of maturity: the buds of spring mature into full flowers and now are able to share their pollen to make more flowers. It is time to enjoy the fruit from the seeds we have planted and the visions and plans we have made. Only in the fullness of maturity do we have the inner abundance and self-sufficiency to truly share with others.
Summer's special gift - the energy of Fire - allows us to give and receive warmth. By giving and sharing, we build our own Fire, open our own flower, and bring more of the summer sun to the world.
Summer supports you in enriching your enjoyment of life. It is an invitation to savour life. The Fire element expresses itself as joy and manifests within us as love, laughter, and enthusiasm. Fire effects our heart and thus all our emotions but primarily those connected with love and joy, compassion and generosity, openness, warmth and abundance. When Fire is balanced within us, we are able to give as well as receive warmth and delight in the company of others.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, Summer is represented by the heart, the motive power of blood circulation and the root of life. When there is ample heart ‘qi’, the blood can circulate incessantly in the vessels to nourish the whole body. Blood is the main foundation for mental activities, thus the function of heart controlling the mind is closely related to the function of heart dominating the blood and the vessels. If there is plenty of heart blood, the mind is clear, thinking is nimble, and one is full of vim and vigour.
de Mamiel Enrichment Tea has been blended therapeutically so it works at a deeper level, supporting the body and striving to achieve a balance of yin and yang energies. The Ancient Chinese belief is that, in Summer, we the need to cool and moisten while seeking an inner harmony of these energies and nourishment for the body while it is in full bloom. It contains medicinal flowers, herbs and fruits that promote a healthy blood circulation (stimulating ‘qi’), supporting the heart and capillaries, regulating the flow of vital energy and blood throughout body and having a tonic effect on the mind. This will help you reach an enhanced state of relaxation and contentment and an improved sense of wellbeing.
